Creating the Gidgee Healing Visual Identity

Every organisation has a story.

When Gidgee Healing approached me to create their visual identity, the goal was to develop an artwork that reflected who they are, the communities they serve and the values that guide their work.

Creating artwork for an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation is a responsibility I don't take lightly. A visual identity becomes something people recognise, connect with and carry forward for years to come.

The final artwork represents Gidgee Healing's connection to community, family and Country, while incorporating the colours and significance of the Gidgee tree itself.

Rather than explain every symbol here, Gidgee Healing has shared the full story behind the artwork, including the meaning of each element and how it reflects the organisation's vision.

I'm grateful to have contributed to an identity that continues to represent Gidgee Healing and the important work they do across north-west Queensland.
